After high school, Shane attended Furman University, where he earned a BA and Masters degree in Sports Medicine.  Shane went on to teach/ coach at Travelers Rest High School for 14 years, and at Blue Ridge High School for 14 years. Amy attended Clemson for her undergraduate in Elementary Education and Furman for her Masters degree in literacy. Amy taught primarily 5th grade at Gateway Elementary. She retired in 2021 and now works full time at the venue.

Shane enjoys fishing with his boys, watching football & baseball, and create memories and a special bond with each of his kids. Amy loves  to walk on the Swamp Rabbit Trail or around the lake at Furman.  She loves working with others and sharing ideas. She still loves to sing, and you will often hear her humming as she works to make each wedding day special and unique.

When asked why they created Rose Spring Farms:

We have always been dedicated and committed to our community.  Teaching allowed us to serve and help future members of the Travelers Rest community and develop into responsible citizens. Teaching was our mission field.  Now, God has given us another mission field.

The Venue at Rose Springs Farm was created for this reason.  We love our community, new and old, and we love serving those that come and celebrate special events at the venue!
